About the program

The Graduate Program in Hepatology has a relevant role as a training center for human resources in the research area of hepatology, providing its students with solid training based on scientific publications and in teaching practice. Some of the highlights of the program, the only one in the area in the whole country, are the qualification of the faculty, at national and international levels, the excellence of the works produced, and the integration between undergraduate and graduate studies. The program also stands out for its international research collaborations, which expand scientific knowledge and enhance academic exchange. Additionally, it actively engages in community outreach programs, promoting health education and awareness on liver diseases. The program also regularly organizes scientific events, including congresses and symposiums, such as the "Liver Meeting" held annualy, fostering discussion and knowledge dissemination among professionals and researchers.
