About the program

The Graduate Program in Health Education seeks to integrate the fields of education and health, aiming to promote the integration of the two areas for the production and dissemination of knowledge, training better-prepared professionals to meet the health needs of the population from the perspective of integral care.

Graduate profile

Health Education Program graduates will be able to act critically, reflectively and with social responsibility, serving as multipliers in the area of Health Education, involving professionals, users and the community, being able to produce and disseminate scientific knowledge on the subject.

Infrastructure

The program has access to all UFCSPA’s academic and laboratory infrastructure to carry out the proposed teaching and research activities. The program also has agreements with the following hospitals: Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Porto Alegre, Conceição Hospital, Cardiology Institute (Porto Alegre) and Heart Hospital (São Paulo).

Focus areas

• Education and Training in Health: It proposes to investigate the processes of education and training in the health area and the educational practices in the different scenarios of the sociocultural context.
  • Research line: Curriculum, training, teaching and education in health
• Integration between Education and Health Services in Vocational Training: It proposes to develop the continuous training of health professionals through the articulation of specific knowledge of the health area with the scenario of education set in the context of health services.
