Biography
Josué Almeida Victorino is an assistant professor of the Internal Medicine Department. He holds a medical degree from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) (1988), and a PhD in Pulmonology from the Universidade de São Paulo (2002). He is the coordinator of the commission of the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, and an assistant professor and specialist at the Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre (UFCSPA) in the Critical Care Medicine service. He is also a specialist from AMIB e SBPT, and a senior member of the American Thoracic Society.
Reasearch Interest
He holds research interest in the intensive care area, with emphasis on intensive therapy, with emphasis mainly in the following subjects: mechanical ventilation, acute respiratory failure and electrical impedance tomography.
