Graduate's competences and skills
UFCSPA’s Physical Therapy Program graduates are professionals with a generalist, humanistic, critical, creative, communicative, reflective, collaborative and ethical profile. They are able to work at all levels of health care, with different degrees of complexity and as part of interdisciplinary teams, based on the best scientific evidence, intellectual rigor and technological advances. The main goal of a Physical Therapy graduate is to achieve the functional health of both the individual and the community, through the contextualized analysis of the biopsychosocial and environmental aspects surrounding the health-disease process. It is also to respect bioethical and cultural principles and the demographic and socioeconomic realities of individuals and communities, committing to public policies. Graduates should be able to explore human movement in all its forms of expression and potential, whether in pathological or kinetic-functional alterations, or in their psychological and organic repercussions. They serve as health promoters and educators in Physical Therapy for individuals, families and communities.
