Graduate's competences and skills
Graduates from the Medicinal Chemistry program must be prepared for the challenges of a highly competitive job market, having the ability to act and adapt quickly, to work in multidisciplinary environments and to develop creative and effective solutions, keeping themselves up to date and reflecting on the dynamic reality currently experienced, especially with regard to new technologies. Furthermore, humanistic, ethical and scientific training combined with the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competencies will guarantee graduates the ability to make decisions and act with confidence and propriety in order to meet social needs. Therefore, graduates will have solid theoretical and practical knowledge to work with the planning, discovery, invention or modification, identification and preparation of biologically active compounds. They must also be able to understand and propose pharmaceutical chemicals that may have mechanisms of action that improve or maintain healthy conditions for the body.
