Graduate's competences and skills
UFCSPA Biomedicine program graduates should have a generalist, humanistic, critical and reflective training to work at all levels of healthcare. They should practice their profession with a basis on scientific accuracy, existing literature, ethical principles and an understanding of the social, cultural and economic reality of their environment, directing their actions towards transforming it for the benefit of society. In addition, the training should take into account the healthcare system in force in the country, and the comprehensive healthcare in the regionalized and hierarchical system of reference, counter-reference, and teamwork. Graduates will have the knowledge required to: carry out laboratory tests; implement quality assurance programs to evaluate laboratory processes and laboratory diagnostic units; evaluate health situations, interpreting epidemiological indicators; and integrate multidisciplinary teams in healthcare facilities.
