Graduate's competences and skills

As Health Sciences professionals, UFCSPA Biomedicine program graduates should have critical sense and responsibility that enables them to practice their profession conscientiously, aiming for the improvement in people's quality of life. In addition, they should have a solid theoretical basis, including knowledge of the structure and function of the human body, pathophysiological mechanisms, the basic active ingredients of drugs and pharmaceuticals, as well as methods of investigation and of analysis complementary to diagnosis and important to environmental sanitation.
These professionals will be able to develop their activities in broad areas related to research, teaching — whether in higher education or in high school vocational programs —, or even as part of healthcare teams.
