Biography 
Cicero Dias is an associate professor tenure from the Basic Health Sciences Department at the Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre. He holds a PhD. in Sciences (Microbiology) from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2007). Ever since 2014, he has been the vice-coordinator to the Graduate Program in Health Sciences at UFCSPA.

Reasearch Interest 

His areas of study include Pneumococcal Infections, Molecular Epidemiology of Pneumococcal Infection, Effects of Vaccines on the Distribution of Pneumococcal Serotypes, Infections due to Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Molecular Epidemiology of MRSA Infections, Community Acquired MRSA, and Nosocomial Infections.
